A painting for a dear friend. He and I worked together in East Africa early in the war and he has sent our family a Harry and David gift box every year for almost two decades. This is a representation of the large beautiful pear that comes included in each gift, specially wrapped in tissue and gold foil. The arrival of his generosity at our doorstep every year has become the commencement event of our Christmas season and we look forward to this gift of friendship and love with great expectation, hope, and gratitude.
