In the works.....a representation of an ancient Mayan calendar

Long fascinated with the art and architecture of American civilizations, I was recently gifted a copy of the Popol Vuh, the Mayan creation story. I've become more and more encouraged to explore and celebrate it all through an 'oil on canvas' representation of the intriguing beauty of Mayan glyphs and the stories behind them.
